Theme: Every Second Counts Orphanage Outreach
Mother’s Day First Aid and CPR Outreach at Saint Joseph Foundation Orphanage Buea, South West Region, Cameroon.
On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12, 2024, Happy Mother Happy Child embarked on a meaningful initiative at the Saint Joseph Foundation Orphanage in Buea, South West Region, Cameroon. This outreach aimed to empower the orphanage community with life-saving skills and vital resources, ensuring the well-being of its children and staff.
Our team of certified trainers held interactive First Aid and CPR sessions tailored to the children’s age groups. The training encompassed basic life support techniques, wound management, and emergency response procedures. Enthusiasm filled the room as the children and staff eagerly participated in hands-on training and asked thoughtful questions.
We also provided essential donations, including:
Fully equipped First Aid Kits
Hygiene products (toothbrushes, toothpaste, hygiene pads, soap, etc.)
Educational materials and resources (school bags)
Food items and refreshments
Impact of the Project:
Enhanced Knowledge and Skills: Participants gained critical First Aid and CPR expertise, enabling them to act confidently during emergencies.
Improved Safety: Donated supplies and kits ensured the orphanage is better equipped to handle accidents and injuries.
Boosted Morale: This outreach fostered a sense of care and community, showing the children they are valued and supported.
The project was a resounding success, contributing to a safer, healthier, and more nurturing environment for the children and staff at Saint Joseph Foundation Orphanage.
